I’ve made an important distinction in my ongoing legal case and personal recovery: the issue is not simply that litigation is stressful. Rather, there is a recurring pattern in which periods of rebuilding are interrupted by renewed legal proceedings, requiring substantial time, attention, and cognitive resources that would otherwise be invested in work, parenting, healing, and financial stability.
A key concept that emerged is capacity.
Rather than describing myself as merely “overwhelmed,” it is more accurate to say that repeated legal demands have repeatedly pushed me over capacity. As I begin rebuilding professionally and personally, my available capacity increases. New filings, hearings, document preparation, and related legal obligations then consume that newly regained capacity, delaying or reversing progress.

Examples of rebuilding capacity include:
- Developing educational programs and business projects.
- Returning to astrology research and content creation.
- Expanding creative interests, including singing.
- Building a stable life in Jamaica with my children.
- Gradually reconnecting with community.
- Regaining nervous system regulation after prolonged trauma.

This creates a recurring pattern:
- Survival
- Healing
- Growth begins
- New litigation or legal demands
- Capacity exceeded
- Business and personal growth delayed
- Recovery
- Growth resumes
Another important realization is that capacity is measurable. Progress can be observed not only by reduced stress, but by the amount of healthy life that can be sustained without everything else being displaced.
This discussion also highlighted an important legal context.
Had the prior injunction remained in effect, much of the subsequent third-party contact, repeated custody litigation, and ongoing unwanted interactions would likely have been addressed through the protections already in place. Instead, after the injunction expired following procedural failures during the hurricane period, those protections were no longer available, allowing years of continued litigation and contact that have significantly affected my ability to move forward.
Throughout this process, I continue to emphasize documentation and evidence. My approach has consistently been to make factual claims that are supported by records, filings, communications, timelines, and corroborating documentation rather than speculation.
A related personal insight emerged from reviewing my spiritual reading transcripts. Rather than evaluating whether predictions were correct, I began comparing Ireland Lisa with Jamaica Lisa. This evolutionary comparison demonstrates measurable changes in perception, nervous system regulation, creativity, boundaries, and available capacity. It provides an evidence-based way to observe recovery over time rather than relying solely on memory.
Golden Nuggets
- Capacity is measurable.
- Growth can be measured by what healthy life now fits without overflowing the plate.
- Healing doesn’t just reduce pain; it increases available capacity.
- The issue is not simply stress from litigation—it is the repeated interruption of rebuilding.
- Longitudinal self-observation provides evidence of personal growth over time.
Value Gained: Confidence
Confidence in the methodology itself.
Not confidence because every answer is known.
Confidence because the methodology has earned trust through decades of lived observation.
